Hello, I believe some friends have discovered that “there is a new version of TK905/TK905B 4G, Type C input, and the original protocol has also changed to JT808.” And wondering how to get the device online!

Here is a solution:
The new version TK905 4G uses the JT808 protocol.
You can choose the Huabao protocol, but you need to add one or two “0″ in front of the 10-digit ID number.
Then it will work.

In order to connect a tracker with a specific protocol to GPS-Trace platform, you need to select the protocol you need when creating a unit.

In addition, you can change the device type later in the unit settings - Hardware https://gps-trace.com/en/help/ruhavik/unit_settings . Please note that after changing the device type, you will need to configure the tracker to send messages to the new server and port.
