Armed on and off engine with Teltonika FMM130

Dear Friends.

I hope you can help me, I currently have 3 Teltonika FMM130 devices, their tracking application works very well for us but I can’t configure the Arming and Disarming function to turn the car engine off and on, do you think you can help me.

Hello, you have to play around with the following section in your configuration:

The question to the Ruhavik team (I think this has been posted already), is what the timeout is for the link? Let say that Ruhavik closes the link in 180 seconds, then you need to configure your tracker to leave the link open for 190 seconds and also configure Network Ping to lets say 170 seconds….this way you ping the server before the server closes the link.

The reason you need this is that if the network link is closed, you will be sending the command to turn the car off but since the tracker is not online, it will not receive the command. This is all necessary if you are sending commands via network connection. If you are sending commands via SMS, then you need to configure the following section which I think is self explanatory:

Thanks for the answer but I think I did not explain myself correctly.

The help I require is: What commands are or how do I program the commands I need in the Ruhavik interface for:
Block Engine Start
Unlock Engine Start

Since this command does not appear in the interface, it is ready and I do not know how to add it

There are no pre-configured commands for your device type in the Commands Panel. But it is possible to create custom commands (available with Premium subscription). If you do not know the syntax of commands, then this information should be checked with the hardware manufacturer, which has the appropriate documentation.

We also recommend you to use the SetBox, here you can find a long list of different commands for your device type. Most likely, you will find useful commands for you.

Hi, to activate/deactivate engine start depends how your device is installed, is your device connected to your vehicle with a lvcan box? Or do you have a relay connected to dout 1 2 or 3?

We currently have pre-configured commands for locking and unlocking for some tracker models and manufacturers. If such a function is available, the corresponding icon will be displayed in the unit card in the Quick access toolbar https://gps-trace.com/en/help/ruhavik/access-buttons.

However, for Teltonika trackers it is impossible to pre-configure such a command for technical reasons.

For users with a paid subscription, it is also possible to use the Commands Panel to send a command to the tracker. You can read more about this in the article on our blog Use the Commands panel and save your time
