The GPS-Trace platform displays tracking data based on the actual coordinates received from your GPS device. The track line represents the precise location data sent by your tracker, which may sometimes appear to go through buildings due to:
- GPS signal accuracy limitations in urban areas with tall buildings
- Signal reflection from buildings causing GPS drift
- Device positioning when the tracker is inside vehicles or structures
However, you might find these appearance settings helpful in Ruhavik:
- Track display options in Appearance Settings
- Color Track by Speed feature to customize track visualization
- Smooth Track Playback for better track display
- Performance Mode for optimized display on lower-end devices
The fact that the track appears above buildings may also indicate that the tracker is sending coordinates infrequently. Configuring the tracker to send coordinates more frequently should help in this case.
