Hello,
I am reaching out for assistance regarding multiple GPS trackers that are no longer responding to SMS commands after we switched mobile carriers.
I have tried all available methods, reset commands, and SMS codes. When I insert the SIM card into the GPS unit, the yellow light stays solid, and the blue light eventually starts blinking. However, none of the reset or APN configuration commands are being accepted.
To troubleshoot, I tested multiple SIM cards. Whenever I insert the SIM into my mobile phone, I immediately receive all the SMS commands I had previously sent—which confirms that the SIM cards are functioning correctly. However, when inserted in the GPS device, it seems like none of the commands are being received.
Additional Information:
Country: Canada
Carrier: TELUS (confirmed 4G compatibility)
Network Frequency Bands:
4G LTE/LTE Advanced: 2100 MHz (downlink) / 1700 MHz (uplink) AWS, 1900 MHz, 700 MHz, 850 MHz
HSPA: 850 MHz and 1900 MHz (UMTS)
Since switching carriers, none of the GPS units are responding, and we are unable to configure the APN or reset them via SMS.
My Questions:
Is there another way to program or reset these devices manually (for example via cable or configuration software)?
Are there updated APN settings or firmware requirements for compatibility with TELUS 4G LTE in Canada?
What steps do you recommend to restore connectivity and command functionality?
Your prompt support would be greatly appreciated, as these devices are critical to our operations.
Thank you
