Hello KavhyDopavogui,
Based on your description, the blue LED is stable but the red LED is blinking continuously, and the platform shows no data. This typically indicates that the device is powered on but hasn’t successfully connected to the network or server.
Common causes and solutions:
1. SIM Card Issues
- Check if the SIM card is properly inserted
- Verify that the SIM card has sufficient balance
- Ensure the SIM card has an active data plan and hasn’t exceeded its traffic limit
- Make sure the SIM card has no PIN code enabled
2. Device Configuration
The device needs to be configured with:
- Correct APN settings for your SIM card provider
- Server address and port from your GPS-Trace unit settings (found in Hardware tab)
- Time zone set to UTC 0
3. Signal Issues
- Ensure the device is in an area with good cellular signal
- Make sure it’s not in a shielded location (metal box, underground parking, etc.)
- The device needs to acquire GPS signal outdoors
4. Configuration Steps
To configure your tracker, you’ll need to send SMS commands to the SIM card in the device. You can find specific SMS commands for your tracker model in the Devices section.
Recommended Actions:
- Verify your SIM card is working and has data
- Check if you’ve configured the correct server address and port from your unit settings
- Ensure APN settings match your SIM provider
- Place the device outdoors for better GPS signal acquisition
