ACC Issue and Firmware Update for Sinotrack ST-901

Hello everyone,

I’m using a Sinotrack ST-901 for GPS tracking on my vehicle and have encountered a specific issue with the ACC status detection. When I connect the orange wire to the 12V, the tracker correctly indicates that the engine is on. However, when I disconnect the orange wire, the tracker initially reports that the engine is off, but after a while, it suddenly changes and shows the engine as on, even though the wire remains disconnected.

This behavior seems like a bug and is causing issues with accurately monitoring the engine status. I’ve searched for solutions online but haven’t found a definitive answer. I’ve read that a firmware update might be necessary to fix this issue, but I haven’t been able to find information on how to perform a firmware update on this device.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or knows how to update the firmware on the Sinotrack ST-901? Any detailed instructions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The issue with the Sinotrack ST-901 showing incorrect ACC status might be due to:

False signals: Even after disconnecting the orange wire, there might be a false signal due to contact with other wires or grounding.

Electrical interference: Voltage spikes in the vehicle’s electrical system could cause the tracker to misinterpret the ACC signal.

Firmware bug: A firmware issue could lead to incorrect engine status detection. Updating the firmware may solve the problem.

Possible Solutions:
Reboot the tracker: Try rebooting the device by disconnecting it from the power source and reconnecting after a few minutes.

Check wiring: Ensure there are no shorts or electrical noise causing false readings.
Electrical filter: Consider installing a voltage stabilizer to reduce interference.
