Hello! Is there any chance to use android GPS Tag application with new GPS-Trace? There is device under hardware with a name GPS Tag, but it doesn’t work. I have a device with an old android phone with android version 2.4.6 and I can’t run WiaTag on it. Thanks for suggestions!

I am not using password neither in GPS Trace web app, not in the android app. When I started andorid app, GPS Trace icon gets to green and then to orange. But not packets of position are send. And after that, icon goes to grey again. I have tired that with different android phone. Even newer ones. But result is the same. With wiatag from newer phone (for testing) it works ok.
Additional info: in GPS Tag (after reinstall) there are Total messages 30 in current status, latest data has current position, but in messages sent/lost there are 0 messages on counter. At the end i am attaching error image from gps trace app.

for me also GPS Tag does not work, server 193.193.165.37 set, port 26583
WiaTag is visible but the Android WiaTag application cannot be configured to work after charging has been connected, which was a priority for me

Hello! It seems, that there is a problem with parsing data sent from GPS Tag: “[wialon_ips:241:12, input 010fb0 02 100000a] pvm_exec_func_nmea_latitude: invalid NMEA minute: ‘0462.144491′” Maybe, this wil help you?

Tried again, but, still same error. Should I reinstall GPS tag? Or do something else? Error report:

We contacted GPS Tag developers. This is a protocol error in the application. It will not be fixed because app no supported.

But is there any change to correctly parse messages on GPS Trace site? WiaTag is for newer android and GPS tag is the only software based tracker for older androids among hundred hardware trackers. GPS tag works well with older (Orange) version of GPS Trace. Thanks a lot if you can fix this on your site!

OK. Thanks! So do you have any suggestion for android software which will works with new GPS Trace software? WiaTag works, but need android 4.1 or greater. Is there maybe an android software which emulates tracking hardware device?
Can you tell me which coordinates are parsed ok?
