Unfortunately, once history data is deleted from GPS-Trace applications, it cannot be recovered or restored. This is stated in our Terms of Use - when information is deleted (whether by the user, automatically, or upon request), it is permanently removed from our system.
Here are the main reasons why history might be missing:
- Common Causes of Missing History
- Storage Limit Reached: When your storage limit is exceeded, new data automatically overwrites the oldest data
- Automatic Deletion: Units that haven’t transmitted data for over 1 year are automatically deleted
- Manual Deletion: The data was intentionally deleted by a user
- Account Inactivity: Accounts unused for 9 months are automatically deleted
Prevention for the Future
What You Can Do Now
If you believe the data should still be available or if there might be a technical issue, please contact our support team at support@gps-trace.com with:
- Your login details
- Unit ID
- Specific time period of the missing data
- Description of when you last saw the data
While recovery isn’t possible, we can help verify what happened and ensure your account is properly configured to prevent future data loss.
