In many countries, 2G and 3G networks are being shut down to allow for faster 4G and 5G networks. This impacts devices that only support 2G, such as certain GPS trackers. Even if 3G or 4G networks are available, 2G-only trackers cannot connect to them and may stop functioning.
As providers like Entel in Chile and others worldwide move to newer network standards, older 2G devices will face connectivity issues and may eventually stop sending data to our system. This could result in users not seeing real-time data in the app.
We want to clarify that this issue is not related to our system. Our system functions based on the data it receives from trackers. Therefore, if this issue arises, it is due to the tracker’s inability to connect to the network.
