Hi guys.

I recently acquired a ST-901 tracker from a Chinese seller. But the device can’t establish a connection to the GSM operator (orange led keeps blinking forever, blue gps led is lit). Tried several sim cards that work normally on 2G on smartphones and other trackers. My next step would be asking for a refund.

But before that, trying to solve this, I noticed that there’s one unsoldered pin on the GSM chip. Because this is my first unit of this model, I can’t tell if this is OK or not. Could you guys look into your ST-901 trackers and check if this is OK?

It’s the 6th pin (left to right) on the side close to the power cable. See the image (arrow inserted):

    Could you clarify the situation?
You inserted a SIM card into the tracker, does the tracker respond to SMS commands, for example, when you want to request the current location, to change the APN or to change the port and server?
If so, is there a problem in transferring data to the Ruhavik application?

Indicator lights can vary depending on the manufacturer, but usually:

      • Red light – No GPS signal.
      • Orange light – GSM/network status (steady often means no network).

      You can try:
Place the tracker outdoors with a clear view of the sky.
Check SIM card (balance, mobile data, no PIN).
Set APN and server settings via SMS (e.g., CHECK# to get current status).
