Say what?
I've created an easy setup application for the TLT-2H/2F/2K/2N GPS Tracker using Android App Inventor. Just to play around with the new Google MIT tool. And, even better, it saves me from typing all these SMS commands everytime. What was it to request the current location? What command sends the last 24h history to gps-trace orange? How do you set the ..... Just press some buttons and the application creates the valid command to send.
What to expect?
Also, I've included most of the common commands like add phone number 1, you can edit the commands later by typing a 2 or 3 if you want to add more numbers. Just about all the commands I could find in different versions of the manuals available (201092165118333, 1.5,1.52,v500,mt202, v1.60, v1.8,v2.0,v3.0). And ofcourse all of the other online sources I've found too.
TLT-what what device?
This application is designed for the V-Sun TLT-2H device. There are (as far as I know) two models on the markets in various versions. The app I wrote is designed for the TLT-2H5. I don't know if it'll work correctly with the TLT-2H3. As far as Android goes, you'll need the ability to send and receive SMS messages. Any version ranging from 1.6 to 4.1.1 is tested and works. Other versions will work as wel. Try it! ![]()

It works fine also with my Iticar ITI-M also know as TT-M110 GPS system tracker.- Seems to be same software inside.
What's not in the app?

In conclusion
Feel free to try it. This little app can save you a lot of time, instead of setting up the device manually. And you don't have to browse those terrible manuals yourself. Three years ago there was nothing like this available on the market, that's why I decided to create an App myself. Currently there's another option in the App Store. But this one is limited to only one device and has ads! Nevertheless it's definitely a great App too.
How about updates?
You can update your current version by browsing to this page or scanning the barcode. Reinstalling a newer version over an older (or the same) version prevents your custom program settings (My Settings screen) from being erased. So don't uninstall the app first before downloading a newer one. The My App settings will be saved this way. Or you can click the update button from the App settings.
Why not going MarketPlace?
I've created this little App primary for myself and thought it would be nice to share it with other TLT-2H/2F/2K/2N users. Sharing my App this way is quite easy to maintain. Updates are also no longer an issue. You can click update from within the App.
Latest version:
2013-05-16
+ replaced the update button
+ text fixes again
2013-03-01
+ new update button (update from inside the app)
+ /update function removed (there's an update button now)
+ extra help texts
+ extra helpt texts for received sms alerts
+ (added) a "receiving enabled" trigger to the App Settings screen. This does work as it should in Android 4.0.4 and 4.1.1
+ (fixed) sent/received messages total count; press selected tracker from the main screen to enable this field
Download the current version
You can use your barcode scanner to download the application.

Great to see that you like it.
As far as your Windows Mobile question. I'm not planning to go Windows any time soon.

dear all
if we use this application, is it possible if sometimes it will have problem with the real user that use real tlt-2h if we use the same imei?
IMEI/hardwareID is used by the device to identify itself on the server you are logging to
The Easy Setup Tool doesn't need the IMEI code to setup any of your devices. Setup commands are sent by SMS (devices' phonenumber) and you need a passcode (gps device passcode) to verify you are authorised to sent commands to the GPS device.

Very usefull tool!! Can you share the app inventor code so we can tweak and contribute in development??!! That would be super!! You can organise a topic for everyone to contribube or make his own version and posting individual code. Some version numbering would be nice too. like a comunity job! I already have some ideas to share, like TLT-2H model selection for custom command sets and nice UI. Again, nice job!

Hi arisgardelis,
It's nice to read that you like it too!
I do use versions to identify which application you're using. You can check the date in the disclaimer at the bottom of the application. The current version is 2011/04/22, the oldest goes back to october 2010. Right now, there's only one "version" around. But yes, I do modify it from time to time, adding a new features (like the multiple tracker numbers option) or replacing mistakes in earlier builds (grammar or code).
All I wanted to do is build an app to let you (uh, me) setup and manage the tlt-2h device without the need of the terrible manuals. So for me it's just a setup, mode-switch and manage app. Tracking and stuff can be done with the sites and services provided by gps-strace.com.
And it came out quite fine, so I thought it would be nice to share it with the world. (hello world! ... ![]()
Let me think about sharing the code.

I think it's better the way it is .. I'm also not making any money with it so it's ok
it's no difficult code, just some put-them-together blocks
I'd put together some example programs
combined with some extra stuff of my own (things that weren't worked out already)
and a little try to make it look at least a bit alright
it would be better to write it the usual way w/o the app designer
to make a little bit faster and a lot smaller, but hey; it works. it's just a little tool

that would be neat, I guess. 'read some how-to articles about it
but I haven't found the time to work it out (summertime, "go-outside-weather" you know.....)

Hi,
In the My Settings page, i presume "GPS number" is where i store the cell phone number of the Sim card inside the TLT-2H? However, the field "GPS Number" only accepts alfanumeric letters, no numbers. And what is the meaning of the field "User gsm number"?

Hi pwhooftman ,
It shouldn't accept any input. You can add up to three trackers numbers below. By touching the button in front of these three numbers it's being transfered to the "GPS number" field.
The "User gsm number" field is where you enter your mobile's number. Or the number of another device you want to receive sms-alerts on. You can sent commands from any sms-enabled device as long as you know the trackers password.
edit:
I've changed the names of these fields. It should be better now.

Great job with your Program!!! What about the TLT-2H (B) ? Does it work with your software too?
I guess.
You can try to compare the command sets. I think they should be (more or less) the same. -but- there are differences in between "tlt-2h" devices also.

Congratulations for the application. It works fine, very practical. Nice idea, nice job.
You could make a generic one (several configurable labels/ buttons) and sell it easyly in Andoid market. Unfortunately I dont have your skills to try. Cheers

Hi - Thats a great idea for an app, however I cannot get it working correctly.
After doing setup and apply, it will not assemble the commands correct. For example if I use the "set apn address" command, all I get is "#803####" whereas the correct command should be "#803#<mypin>#<myapn>##" (no apn username and password)
Also If I try to enable powersave mode all I get is "100" where it should be "100<mypin>"..
if's like it won't merge the text in my settings with the actual commands.
I have tested this on two different devices (LG Optimus 2x, running MoDaCo ROM, and HTC Desire, running Cyanogenmod 7).
Can you help me?

Great - I'll look forward to it. ![]()
By the way - anyone know why the device keeps sending "AGPS update failed!" every 2 hours?
I would also like to add a personal note:

I also like free software, and I like Open Source software even more. That way you wouldn't have to stand alone with all the work. Others could make suggestions on code changes, feature improvements, and such. Have you considered this a possibility?
