Three Sim Settings (UK)

I'm going to move from EE to Three as the data is loads cheaper.


Could anybody tell me the API & port settings etc please?

nigeyboy, the server IP and Port are for tracking devices not for sim card.

Therefore you should not change IP and Port when moving from one mobile provider to another.

But you would definitely need to change the APN settings. Ask your provider for the APN settings and make sure your tracking device supports 3g (most devices work with GPRS only!).

Three does not support 2G and GPRS, so depending on your tracker, you might not be able to use it.


FWIW, I have a PAYG SIM card from O2 in my tracker - it cost me £30 a year, and I've yet to exceed* the 100MB I get with a £3 per month Basic Data Bolt-On. 

Plus, every sixth month is free, when you top-up £15 - perfect. (Just don't forget to cancel the Bolt-On for that month, and reistate it later).
