Hi, I am new to GPS. My device gives me a coordinate pair in a format such as "44 19.6719N, 79 42.9334W" which doesn't appear to be either DMS or decimal cause when I enter it into Google I do get a location but then below me it shows two more coordinate formats.

What is this format called "44 19.6719N, 79 42.9334W" and how can I convert it to decimal?

stefonalfaro, a quote from a random site:

Decimal Degrees (HDD) HDD.ddddd N 47.64896
W 122.34811 Similar to DD but includes hemisphere (N/S/E/W).
