TLT-2H not working after 2017

Hi guys,
i've got a really big trouble...

I have around 500 devices of TLT-2H,
and all of them stopped working on exactly the same time...

Every one of them send the last data on 2017-01-01 06:59:59, and with data status of V (normally A)

I've tried to restart and reset the device, but still it is not updating the location, anyone experience this problem?

Oh God, it is like new year disaster for me,
any help would be apreciated...

ryusama, did you try to resolve the issue with the manufacturer in the first place?

We are the receiving side. We are not responsible for tracking devices.

An error occurred during the transition to a new date 

Date:2016-12-31  
Time:23:59:59  (time GMT)

 

"RESET" and "reboot" no result, and shutdown device does not result.

 

Transfer time (896 and 897 command) to reset - it did not result. 

and the manufacturer, the impression that the bankrupt (Sites can not be opened)

 

dropped device with firmware -- SOFTVER:V3.02.172 2012/03/13 and SOFTVER:V4.02.248F4 RELEASE, Dec  7 2013 12:27:32  

 

Someone managed to solve the problem?

We are the receiving site. We are not responsible for tracking devices.

 

yes, im really sorry pach, im so hopeless that i dont find anywhere else to ask about this question,

at least i hope i can find someone else who has the same problem, thank you for your understanding

I do not have the firmware files.
 
update the firmware from the manufacturer's server I tried, but it does not help
 
the server has old firmware. those. the device will ship what already has
 
see: 
old -- SOFTVER:V4.02.248F4 RELEASE, Dec  7 2013 12:27:32
new -- Remote upgrade complete. Version number still V4.02.248F4 RELEASE, Dec  7 2013 12:27:32.
 
old -- SOFTVER:V4.02.249 RELEASE, Mar 25 2014 12:26:41
new -- Remote upgrade complete. Version number still V4.02.249 RELEASE, Mar 25 2014 12:26:41
 
old --  SOFTVER:V3.02.171 2012/03/01 RELEASE  
new -- Remote upgrade complete. Version number still V3.02.171 2012/03/01 RELEASE.
 
Tomorrow I'll get one device that does not work. I try to figure out how to revive him :)  I will write on the results.
 
I hope if someone will find a solution, he lay here.

ryusama thanks for the reply, we also have tried everything we can think of to get them back on line, so far no luck, but will post here if I get a result.

Checked randomly and found some working devices:

[hw2.trace] 2017/01/03 08:31:35:766: GPRS MSG(TLT-2H): ID: xxx014, IP: , MSG: $GPRMC,053129.000,A,0322.3684,S,11438.6400,E,23.96,145.24,030117,,,D*41
There are over 400 TLT-2H working without any issues.
So there should be a solution.

I now have access to a unit that has failed. No Green gps light. have tried gps off and on and a hard restart with battery removed, no change, it seems like the gps chip has stopped working completely.

Will keep trying and post results.

Hi, i have the same issue, and found older devices (up to 2012) work fine, and newer (2013 to 2015) fails, so maybe older firmware will work. Somebody know if there is a way to extract the firmware from a working device? I'm trying to contact the person who sold me devices a long time ago.

No solution yet? I've been looking everywere but nothing. Factory still no answers me. I think we have to find a old firmware, like from year 2012. I have 65 non working tlt's, i'm in trouble!

Just write that tlt-2h does not work since 2017.

We are now trying to get raw data to analyse if anything can be done.

Okay everyone, it confirmed by my supplier that tlt2h has defect chip on product produced between early 2012 until middle 2015, which can't handle this year time anomaly "Leap Second", https://en.m.wikiped...iki/Leap_second https://access.redha.../articles/15145
Which adjustments of 1 more second is needed to follow the general rule of GMT/UTC time, thats where our device bugged and stopped working, they promise me to bring a software update, but didn't want to give the ETA, just a "promise"

If i have any luck, i will share more information to you guys

No one has tried to exctract the firmware of a working device and flash into a non working one? is it possibe?
