Hi there,

Decided to put a tracker in my car. Want to order GT02A from Ali - gonna try this one first based on the positive feedback and price. Though i have a question:

GT02A does not have a built-in battery. I don't want it left always running to consume the car battery when the car is not started, i'm thinking to set it up to only start the tracker when i start my car and while i (or anyone else) drive it. The question is - will it work fine under this setup? will it Send the last active location to the server and i will be able to see where the car was last running/where it stopped when device turned off?

Tried searching in the forum for similar topics, but most of users set it up to be always ON.

First make sure you buy a genuine GT02A.

As for the operation so I think it will work.

Basically in your setup it will start to send messages whenever a power is on.

In system you will it in the form of trips. No power=no messages=no trips.

Thanks for your answer. How do you switch the relais? Directly with the original power cables for the bed? How high is the current at 24V?
